Building surveys and defect diagnosis
We establish the mechanism before anyone specifies a remedy. Evidence, not opinion, and recorded so it holds up later, whether that is in a negotiation, a claim or a conversation with a contractor who remembers it differently.
We are independent of property sales, contractors and remedial trades, and we are not paid commission on anything we recommend.

Is it condensation, or something worse?
Most damp advice online is published by firms selling the remedy, which is why so many walls get treated for a condition they do not have. This calculates the answer from live weather where you are and the conditions inside, using the method in BS EN ISO 13788.
No account, nothing withheld, and the free options are listed above the paid ones. If it turns out you need a survey, we already hold the details and nothing gets retyped.

Will your walls grow mould in today's conditions?
Calculated from live weather for your location and the conditions inside your home, using the method in BS EN ISO 13788. No assumptions are made about your building.
Your thermostat or a room thermometer.
From a hygrometer. They cost a few pounds and are the single most useful thing you can own if you have damp.

How this is calculated
Saturation vapour pressure from the Magnus formula, published with an uncertainty under 0.6% between -45 and +60°C. Dew point and the mould threshold are derived from it by inversion.
The mould threshold is the surface temperature at which surface relative humidity reaches 80%, the default critical value in BS EN ISO 13788. Required fRsi is (threshold minus outdoor) divided by (indoor minus outdoor), compared against the 0.75 minimum UK regulations set for dwellings.
Nothing is assumed about your building. The tool reports the wall quality your conditions would demand, not a guess at the wall you have. Indicative screening only, not a survey, and no substitute for measurement at the affected surface.

What the common jobs cost
Where the scope is predictable we publish the price. Larger surveys are quoted after a short conversation, because property size and age move them too much for one honest number.

Measured and certified work
Standardised pieces of work with a defined output, usually needed for compliance, a sale or a funding condition.
How we work
Diagnosis before specification
Most building problems are misdiagnosed before they are mis-fixed. We establish the mechanism first. It is the difference between treating damp and stopping it.
Evidence, not opinion
Every finding traced to what we observed, measured or tested, and recorded so it holds up in a negotiation, a claim or a warranty discussion.
Proportionate advice
Not everything found in a building needs doing. We separate urgent from worth monitoring from cosmetic, and say which is which.
Stakeholder engagement
Getting heard, and getting agreement
Projects and proposals fail on communication more often than on merit. We help organisations frame what they are asking for, understand the objection they are actually facing, and build the support they need.
From 3 people together to 1500 people together. They helped us frame the objection, and we were heard through structured support.
GreenCode are a great team to advise businesses on the best strategies to gain public support for campaigns.
Solution-oriented, focused and professional service, with the passion to find the right and sustainable solution which aligned with client values.
